Extended Health Benefit
If your income is too high for assistance so you don't qualify but you have high health costs, you could qualify for the extended health benefit.
For example, someone who has high costs because they are HIV + but is working, could qualify for this benefit.
To show you qualify, you can have your pharmacy print out the costs of the last 6 months worth of prescriptions so you can show how high your costs are.
Also, if you temporarily cannot get assistance because you get extra money but will be going back on assistance quickly, you should be able to get this benefit.
If you cannot get this benefit, you can still apply for the Trillium Drug Program, for more information, click here.
