Northern Allowance

If you live in a community without year-round road access, above the 50th parallel, you should get extra money. Some communities south of the 50th parallel can also get this money if they don't have year-round road access.

You should get:
Single person: $146
Single person with 1 child: $241
Single person with 2 children: $281

Couple: $242
Couple with 1 child: $284
Couple with 2 children: $325

$41 for each additional child (or dependent).

This should be automatic, you don't have to apply for this benefit but if you don't get it, contact a legal clinic.
